PURPOSE: To prevent the burning and abrasion of a bearing by connecting the crank section of a crank shaft to a rotary scroll through a slide bearing and by making the diameter of the crank section nearly equal to that of the shaft section facing the slide bearing.
CONSTITUTION: A slide bearing 8 is fitted to the lower side of a rotary scroll 3, and a crank section 9b being eccentric to the center of the shaft section 9a of a crank shaft 9 is coupled with it. The shaft section 9a is supported by an upper slide bearing 11 fitted to a frame 10 and by a lower slide bearing 12. The diameters of the shaft section 9a and crank section 9b are made nealy equal. Accordingly, the axial direction load applied to the crank shaft 9 can be invariably forced downward, and as a result, the load borne by a thrust bearing is reduced and the burning and the like can be prevented.
