Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply oil to a bearing in an effective manner by setting up a porous oil retaining bear impregnated with lubricating oil or lubricating grease and a solid resin lubricating composition having a lubricating ingredient dispersed and held in a plastic base material after being contacted with each other.
SOLUTION: This bearing unit is equipped with a porous oil retaining bearing 5, forming two bearing surfaces 5a being opposed with each other via a peripheral surface 3a of a shaft 3 and a minute bearing clearance 6, in a porous body of a sintered alloy or the like, and a solid resin lubricating composition 7 having lubricating oil dispersed and held in a plastic base material, and the bearing 5 and the lubricating composition 7 are formed into ring form, and both the end faces opposed to each other in the vertical directions each come into contact with each other. The resin lubricating composition 7 serves as a wall against oil trying to leak due to a flow of oil attending on the rotation of the shaft 3, from an underside surface 5b of the upper bearing 5, thereby checking an outflow of oil. In addition, the oil leaked out of the bearing clearance 6 is absorbed and recovered, through which a lubricating ingredient of the resin lubricating composition 7 is supplied to the bearing 5 by dint of capillary force of a hole part. Accordingly good lubricating performance is maintained for a long period of time.
