Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent stoppage of circulation of lubricating oil, by a method wherein, in a self-circulating system bearing provided with a bored hole adapted to perform a pumping operation occasioned by rotation of a collar, baffle boards and partitions are located in a level lower than that of the bored hole in the collar. CONSTITUTION:A baffle board 13, a partion 15, a baffle board 12, and a partition 14 are located, in order, to an inner cylinder 3 of an oil tank and the inner side of a thrust bearing metal 9 and in a level lower than that of a bored hole 8 in a collar 7 within the oil tank. The baffle boards 12 and 13 prevent revolution of lubricating oil within an oil tank 1, and the partitions 14 and 15 prevent entrance of an eddy current into the circulating passage of the lubricating oil, whereby the oil surface on the inner diameter side of the collar 7 is not lowered from the level of the bored hole 8. Thus, a pumping operation caused by rotation of the collar 7 is perfectly conducted, resulting in preventing stoppage of circulation of the lubricating oil.
