Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a uniform woven fabric of high density by preventing the cloth fell and its vicinity fabric from withdrawing along the reeds in the upward and downward directions, while the cloth fell moves from the withdrawal position to the weave opening.
CONSTITUTION: In a weaving machine in which the reeds are brought into contact with the cloth fell which withdraws more toward the warp-feeding side than the foremost position of the reeds and the cloth fell is brought together with the reeds to the foremost position to beat the weft, a supporter 20 is mounted to the beater all over the width of the woven fabric to support the fabric F, as it contacts with the fabric near the cloth fell on beating.
