To obtain a beautifully skin-whitening composition capable of being used as a light-shielding agent giving the maximum light-shielding coefficient (SFP), while using a chromophoric monomeric organic compound in the minimum rate.
This composition comprises (a) approximately 0.1-30wt.% of an organic light-shielding agent having a chromophoric group active in a UV light range of 290-400nm, (b) approximately 0.1-10wt.% of an inorganic light- shielding agent selected from titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, (c) approximately 0.05-1wt.% of a light-shielding synergist selected from ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymers, (d) approximately 0.1-0.5wt.% of an acrylate copolymer or a long chain methacrylate copolymer modified into a hydrophobic property, (e) approximately 0.05-0.5wt.% of xanthane gum, (f) approximately 0.5-5wt.% of a placenta extract, and (g) approximately 1-99.9wt.% of a carrier. The organic light- shielding agent and the inorganic light-shielding agent are contained in a ratio of 1:1 to 3:1.
