The bed device includes: a bed frame section for supporting a knee bottom section; a link mechanism that comprises a first link having an upper end journaled on a lower section of the knee bottom section and having a lower end journaled on a second link, so as to tilt the leg bottom section, a second link having an upper end journaled on a second leg frame section and having a lower end journaled on the first link, and a third link having an upper end journaled on a first leg frame section and having a lower end journaled between the upper and lower ends of the second link; and the drive unit that has an upper end journaled on the bed frame and that has a lower end rotatably journaled on the first link to drive the link mechanism.
