To improve the durability of a bed sheet having moisture-dissipation promoting function, deodorizing function and bacteriostatic function.
The bed sheet is produced by forming a hydrophilic layer 2 on one side of a base material 1 composed of woven or nonwoven fabric of polyester fiber by a discharge plasma graft-polymerization treatment of acrylic acid as a polymerizable monomer, porosifying individual fibers 3 constituting the hydrophilic layer 2, and including a noble metal into the hydrophilic layer 2. A noble metal colloid 10 is used as the noble metal and is fixed to the inside and outside of the porosified fiber 3 constituting the hydrophilic layer 2. The noble metal colloid 10 is preferably silver colloid or platinum colloid having an average particle diameter of 1-100 nm. The bed sheet can be used also as the sheet 6 for a seat. In this case, the hydrophilic layer 2 is formed at least on the reverse side 1b opposite to the surface side 1a of the base material 1 contacting with the sitting person.
