To make usable a bed side cabinet satisfactorily even when it is located on either right or left sides of a bed by fitting a door to the opening end face of a bed side cabinet body with its hanging base selected, and imparting a bumper function in common to lower hinge members.

The right edge 4a or left edge 4b of a door 4 is selectively hinged to the opening end face of a bed side cabinet body 1 via a hinge mechanism 40. The hinge mechanism 40 is constituted of a pair of right and left bumper-like lower hinge members 45 supporting the lower end face 41 of the door 4 from below and upper hinge members 46 supporting the upper end side 42 of the door 4. A lower vertical shaft 47 and an upper vertical shaft 48 are inserted into one of a pair of right and left lower hinge members 45 and one of a pair of right and left upper hinge members 46 to support the door 4, thus the opening direction of the door 4 can be freely chosen. Since the lower hinge members 45 are protruded in a bumper shape from the opening end face, they protect the bed side cabinet body 1 and the lower end face 41 of the door 4.
