Abstract:
To evaluate the adhesive strength and shear resistance angle of bedrock by using a core collected by drilling the CL-class bedrock.SOLUTION: A bedrock evaluation method includes the steps of: drilling bedrock to execute a borehole loading test, thereby deriving the overburden pressure and yield pressure of the bedrock; executing an indirect tensile test on a sample obtained by removing a core from the position where the borehole loading test is executed, thereby determining the indirect tensile strength of the bedrock; drawing a circle N1 derived from the overburden pressure and yield pressure and a point A3 indicating the indirect tensile strength in a coordinate system with the normal stress generated in the bedrock as the abscissa and with the shear stress as the ordinate; drawing a tangent line N2 on the circle N1 from the point A3; and deriving the adhesive strength c of the bedrock from the intersection of the tangent line N2 and the ordinate, and deriving the shear resistance angle φ of the bedrock from the inclination of the tangent line N2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
