PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bed assisting the automatic bedsore prevention of a bedridden person and an operation method thereof.SOLUTION: The air bed includes: a pad 102 whose top face is longitudinally arranged with a head region A, a neck region B, a back region C, a thigh region D, a knee region E and a leg region E; a plurality of support air cushions 104 attached to the head region and the leg region; a plurality of bedsore prevention air cushions 106 attached to the neck region, the back region, the thigh region and the knee region respectively; and an air pump unit which is connected to both support air cushions and bedsore prevention air cushions so that the air can be supplied to the support air cushions and the bedsore prevention air cushions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
