Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use only one pressure sensor as both a fail-safe pressure sensor and a pressure sensor for detecting the pressure of a master cylinder.
SOLUTION: A pressure sensor is provided in such position that the discharge pressure of a precharge piston using a master cylinder pressure or a precharge pressure PP/P, whichever greater, as a discharge pressure can be detected. When a brake switch signal SBRK is OFF, an estimated master cylinder pressure PMC* is zero, and at the time when a brake switch signal SBRK is ON, an estimated pressure PX lower than the precharge pressure PP/P is an estimated master cylinder pressure PMC* and at the time when a pressure detection value pp is beyond a threshold value α higher than the precharge pressure PP/P and such a condition is kept for a preset time tup, the estimated master cylinder pressure PMC* is switched to the pressure detection value pp. When the pressure detection value pp is under the threshold value α and such a condition is kept for a preset time tdn, the estimated master cylinder pressure PMC* is switched to an estimated pressure PX.
