To provide a heat-storage system bell type annealing furnace in which a heat-storage regenerating system combustion device is used, nevertheless flame is prevented from becoming long frame by sufficiently enclosing atmosphere in the furnace into the flame and also, combustion can be contracted to the optimum combustion capacity when a soaking is performed.
In the bell type annealing furnace, a treating material W laid on a furnace hearth 1 provided with a circulating fan F through a supporting table is covered with an inner cover 2 and an outer cover 3 is covered on the inner cover, and the heat-storage system alternative combustion device H is disposed below the outer cover. The heat-storage system alternative combustion device is constituted with a plurality of unit heat-storage system alternative combustion devices Ha, Hb and also, these devices are arranged at a prescribed interval in a direction of a peripheral wall of the outer cover.
