PURPOSE: To prevent any separation of the wound side edge from occurring in a bellows pipe by forming a bellows part on the circumferential surface of a compound cylindrical body having a thin cylindrical body slightly larger in its inner diameter than the outer diameter of a multiplex winding cylindrical body inserted into this winding cylindrical body on which sheet metal is wound.

CONSTITUTION: Sheet metal is multi-wound into three layers, forming a multiplex winding cylindrical body 5. A thin cylindrical body 6 slightly larger in its inner diameter than the outer diameter is inserted into a circumferential surface of this cylindrical body 5, forming a compound cylindrical body 7. A bellows part 8 consisting of plural crest part 9 and root parts on the circumference is formed in this compound cylindrical body 7 by a corrugate wall forming means. Owing to this bellows part, a wound edge 10 of the cylindrical body 5 is held by the thin cylindrical body 6 so that the wound edge 10 is no longer floated and separated therefrom. Moreover, it is rich in flexibility, and comes to a rigidbellows pipe against external vibrations.
