In this belt conveyor equipped with a scraper type intermediate delivery part 1, a belt 2 of the intermediate delivery part is maintained in a flat form when the scraper is used, and the belt 2 of the intermediate delivery part is maintained in an angle in a U shape having a trough angle almost equal to a trough angle formed by a belt at the front and the rear. As a trough angle control means M, a belt receiving base 16 divided into three along the belt width direction, a central receiving plate 16A and both side receiving plates 16B, are provided on a lower part of the belt 2. Lifting and lowering movements of the intermediate receiving plate 16A and rising and falling movements of the both side receiving plates 16B are interlocked. When the intermediate receiving plate 16A is raised, the both side receiving plates 16B fall horizontally from an oblique position so that the belt 2 is maintained in the flat form. When the intermediate receiving plate 16A is lowered, the both side receiving plates 16B rise to the oblique position from the horizontal position and the belt 2 is maintained in the U shaped form.
