Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a belt conveyor, in which a belt extending member is provided, a frictional heat generated between a conveying belt and a fixed pulley is not so high even when a conveying speed for an article to be conveyed is set high, and a slip is hardly generated between the conveying belt and a driving wheel.
CONSTITUTION: In a conveyor, a conveying belt B is extended so as to slide on a fixed belt extension member 2, while a driving wheel 6 is arranged in a retreating path side part of the conveying belt B in the belt rotational direction front side beyond the belt extension member 2. By a tension pulley 50 arranged around the driving wheel 6, a sagging part Y, which is located in front side of the belt rotational direction, in the conveying belt B is pushed into the driving wheel 6 side, and is pushed to a sagging side part X, which is the belt rotational direction front part in a contact part with the driving wheel 6 in the conveying belt B, by a rotary roller 71 arranged around the driving wheel 6.
