Abstract:

To provide a belt drive system that can appreciably reduce belt noise without sacrificing a transmission capacity.

The belt drive system entrains a block belt on each belt groove surface of a driving pulley and a driven pulley. The belt groove surface 6 of the pulley that blocks of the block belt abut has a plurality of grooves 6a of a width interval (a) of 100 μm or more and a depth b of 2 μm or more along the pulley circumference.
