PURPOSE: To manufacture the subject filter with simple structure and at low cost by installing endless filter cloth, a filter cloth tension device. etc.
CONSTITUTION: Solid content 5a contg. slurry 5 is supplied to the upper surface of filter cloth 1 which is circulated through a feed box 4 from a slurry supply opening 6 from the lower position side to the higher position side in a feed box 4 to filtrate and separate the slurry. The solid content 5a thus separated remains on the upper surface of the filter cloth 1 and falls to a chute 21 and the filtrate 5b thus separated permeates the filter cloth 1 and falls to the bottom part of a feed box 4 to recover it by a filtrate recovering pipe 20. The filter cloth 1 folded by a roller 2 is washed with washing water sprayed from the inner peripheral side of the filter cloth 1 by a washing device 23 to prevent clogging. Tension acting on the filter cloth by a filter cloth tension device 15 is adjusted by an air cylinder 16 (actuator) in accordance with the quantity of meandering of the filter cloth 1 detected by a detector 19 to move the filter cloth 1 to the side where tendon in the width direction is relatively increased, thereby the meandering is corrected.
