PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt manufacturing method which can easily make the outer peripheral surface of a belt uneven. SOLUTION: This method comprises the steps of: laminating a plurality of unvulcanized rubber sheets 10 by winding them around the outer periphery of a mold 9; arranging a release sheet 11 in a part of the layer interface between the unvulcanized rubber sheets 10; attaching the release sheet 11 to the unvulcanized rubber sheet 10 on the outer layer side; vulcanization-molding the unvulcanized rubber sheet 10 on a belt main body 2; removing a vulcanized rubber 14 on the outer peripheral side of the release sheet 11 from the belt main body 2; simultaneously removing the release sheet 11 as it is attached to the vulcanized rubber 14; and forming a projecting part 3 and a recessed part 4 on the outer peripheral surface of the belt main body 2.
