To provide a belt power transmission device including a clutch which generates electrical energy and drives as an auxiliary machine with the power in the normal direction from an engine after the starting of the engine to an generator and starts the engine with the power in the opposite direction from a starter to the engine, by connecting the starter/generator having both a motive power generating function and an electrical energy generating function to the engine through the belt power transmission device.
This belt power transmission device is equipped with a belt power transmission means 10 of transmitting power with a belt between a plurality of pulleys which include a crank pulley 1, a generator pulley 4 and auxiliary pulleys 2, 5 on an input/output shaft of an engine E/G and a starter/generator ISG. A clutch 8 is provided on the engine input/output shaft and a two-way clutch 9 is provided on the ISG input/output shaft. The two-way clutch is constructed as a clutch for connection and block so as to transmit the starter power to the engine when the engine starts, and transmit the power from the engine to the ISG after the engine starts.
