To provide a belt for a power transmission capable of highly obtaining strength of splicing between ends of reinforced cloth.
In the belt for power transmission a cog 14 is provided alternately disposing a projecting cog 2 and a recessed cog 3 along a longitudinal direction of the belt on at least compressed rubber layer 1, and a reinforcing cloth 5 is bonded and laminated on the surface of the cog 4. One end and other end of the longitudinal direction of the belt of the reinforced cloth 5 is spaced and the reinforcing cloth 6 for a jointing disposed astride between surfaces of both ends of the reinforcing cloth 5 is laminate-bonded on the surface of each end of the reinforcing cloth 5 and on the surface of the compressed rubber layer 1 between both ends of the reinforcing cloth 5.
