Title:
BELT-REINFORCING STRUCTURE OF PNEUMATIC TIRE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000025414
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a tire structure small-sized, with less heat storage capacity, relatively lightweight and capable of reducing materials of a tire so as to improve handling and high speed characteristics by use of high strength and lightweight cords.

Reinforcing structure belts of a pneumatic tire 10 are reinforced by high hardness and lightweight aramid cords whose line density is 420-1100 dTex and whose number of twisting is 315-551 TPM (8-14 TPI). In another example, overlay materials can be incorporated into the belt-reinforcing structure. As for an example of a tire, there is a belt-reinforcing structure having a folded belt 23 folded around a cut belt 24.
