Title:
BELT SANDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3438998
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reasonably construct a tension setting mechanism for a polishing belt which has good durability and operating easiness.
SOLUTION: A belt setting mechanism 11 has a support arm 13 which includes a flat plate part 14 and a guide part 15, and therein a compression spring 21 is loosely inserted in the guide part 15, and a lever 16 is supported rotatably on the arm 13 in the eccentric position of a cam plate 17. When the lever 16 is rotated in the direction of arrow (a), the cam plate 17 separates from the compression spring 21 at the time of contacting with a rib 22, and the arm 13 and a follower roller 8 are admitted to make fore-and-aft movement so that it is possible to make mounting and removal of a polishing belt 9. After mounting of the belt 9, the lever 16 is again turned in the direction of arrow (b), the spring 21 presses gradually the arm 13 forward with rotation of the cam plate 17, and the follower roller 8 advancing tightens the belt 9 at the time the cam plate 17 comes in contact with a stopper 14b.
