Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce attaching of waterdrops by steam condensation to tea leaves, by fixing heaters to the vicinities of an inlet and an outlet of a steaming chamber of a belt sending steamer and heating tea leaves sent to the steaming chamber.

CONSTITUTION: Heaters 11 and 12 are fixed to parts which are in the vicinities of an inlet and an outlet of a steaming chamber 5 of a belt sending steamer and are equipped no steam pipe 6. The heaters 11 and 12 are infrared heaters, the heater 11 heats the surface layer part of tea leaves while the tea leaves move from the inlet of the steaming chamber to the vicinity of steaming pipes 6f and the heater 12 heats the surface layer part of the tea leaves while the tea leaves transfer from steam pipes 6r to the outlet of the steaming chamber. Both the heaters prevent steam condensation.
