Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly set belt tension at a start of an engine, in a vehicle in which the engine and a motor are connected to each other via a belt.SOLUTION: A belt tension control device (20) is mounted to a hybrid vehicle which comprises an engine (10), a motor (MG), a belt (8) for transmitting power between the engine and the motor, and tension change means (30) which can change tension applied to the belt. The belt tension control device comprises the control means (20) which estimates combustion torque related to a start of ignition, and motor torque related to the motor necessary for a start of the engine before the start of the engine, and controls tension change means so as to change the tension applied to the belt on the basis of the estimated motor torque before the start of the engine so that torque which should be transmitted to the engine from the motor is transmitted via the belt according to the estimated combustion torque.
