Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the life of a belt by a method wherein a difference in the coefficient of elasticity at an interface between the compression rubber layer of an adhered rubber layer and a core can be removed, in a V-belt formed in such a manner that an adhered rubber layer in which a core extending in the longitudinal direction of a belt is embedded and a compression rubber layer formed on the belt bottom side of the adhered rubber layer are formed.
SOLUTION: By constituting an adhered layer 2 and a compression rubber layer 3 by using an rubber composition wherein short fibers 6, 6... are dispersed in a latex state at a polymer manufacturing process, the adhered rubber layer 2 forms a high elasticity rubber layer having the coefficient of elasticity approximately equal to that of the compression rubber layer 3. By dispersing short fibers 6, 6... in a high degree in the adhered rubber layer 2 and the compression rubber layer 3, adhesive property to rubber is increased and the occurrence of a crack on an interface between a fiber and rubber at the adhered rubber layer 2 is suppressed.
