Abstract:
To prevent a belt member from being biased, while preventing the corrugation of and damages to the belt member due to foreign materials.
The belt travel device 10 comprises the belt member 14 that travels in the predetermined direction, a roller 11 for supporting the belt member 14, and a hitting member 12 disposed at the end of the roller 11 which the edge of the belt member abuts against. A tapered part 13 is formed in the roller 11 so that an empty space is formed for accommodating a foreign material 15, when the belt member 14 is in the state where it abuts against the abutting member 12.
