Abstract:
To provide a belt type continuously variable transmission, improving reliability on products by effectively performing a fail safe of a hydraulic fluid supply/discharge valve.
In this belt type continuously variable transmission 22, a hydraulic fluid supply/discharge valve 110 is opened when a change gear ratio changes, and an oil pressure control device 130 supplies the hydraulic fluid at a predetermined supply oil pressure Pin to a movable sheave 53. The movable sheave 53 is thereby driven to control the pinching pressure of a belt 80. When holding operation in the state of opening the hydraulic fluid supply/discharge valve 110 is failed, the oil pressure Pin to be supplied is reduced.
