To enhance the dimensional accuracy of the uneven shape of the inner or outer peripheral surface of a belt while reducing a production cost, in a belt vulcanization and molding apparatus for forming recessed or projected stripes on the inner or outer peripheral surface of the belt and a belt vulcanization and molding method using the same.
A belt intermediate object 3 is pressed and heated by an inner mold 2 having projected stripes formed thereto at a predetermined pitch in the peripheral direction thereof, and by an outer mold 5 having several mold pieces 6, 6, etc., gathered in the peripheral direction thereof to mold the belt. Further, at the time of mold clamping of the outer mold 5, the respective mold pieces 6, 6, etc., are gathered at the same time by an almost cylindrical taper sleeve 9 while, at the time of mold opening of the outer mold 5, the respective mold pieces 6, 6, etc., are separated at the same time by scroll cam mechanisms 8, 66 and 68.
