Abstract:
To provide a band-wrapping packaging apparatus and a packaging method capable of conveying a band sheet to surely form a loop and wrapping the band sheet around goods even when the band sheet with low rigidity (there is no stiffness) is used, and also to provide a band-wrapping packaging apparatus and a packaging method corresponding to many types of band sheets.SOLUTION: A band-wrapping packaging apparatus in which a log band sheet is formed in a loop shape and wrapped around goods includes conveying means that conveys the long band sheet in a conveying direction, loop formation means that forms the band sheet in the loop shape, and generation means that bends a cross-section shape of the band sheet in a direction orthogonal to a band sheet convey direction to a width direction. The generation means is disposed at an upstream side of the band sheet convey direction with respect to at least a first loop corner of the loop formation means. The generation means bends a cross-section central part of the cross section shape of the band sheet from a tip end of the band sheet outward to the loop.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
