Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate dangerousness of an operator by providing a loosening amount detecting means for detecting a loosening amount while providing a drive means for driving a roll bending mechanism, and controlling the detected loosening amount so as to minimize, so that a bending amount of an expander roll is automatically adjusted.
CONSTITUTION: A loosening amount of paper, passing an expander roll 2, is divided along a breadth direction of paper surface respectively into its central part and both end parts and detected by a brightness detector 7. A mean value of the loosening amount in each part, detected by a driving gear 18 for driving a roll bending mechanism 4 and by the brightness detector 7, is set to a minimum. Further, an operating amount of the roll bending mechanism 4 such as minimizing a difference, between the loosening amount in the both end parts and the loosening amount in the central part, is calculated in an operation amount arithmetic unit 11. In accordance with the calculated operating amount, the driving gear 18 is controlled by a controller 17. In this way, since a wrinkle or looseness can be real time suppressed from its occurrence, stable production can be attained.
