Abstract:
To provide a bending device for glass sheets capable of suppressing the deformation by their own weight.
The suction surface of a suction box 30 which sucks and holds the top surface of the glass sheet 22 and places the same on a bending die 16 is cooled by a cooling mechanism 34. The glass sheet 22 is sucked and held to the suction box 30, by which its top surface is cooled. As a result, a temperature difference is generated between the top and under surfaces of the glass sheet 22 and the sag deformation by its own weight are suppressed.
