Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the stability of a series of bending (sharp-angle bending and hemming bending) operations carried out by using a hemming double deck die 10 and a punch 22.SOLUTION: Each Z-axis servo motor 62 is controlled by an NC device 74 so as to lower, immediately after the abutment of the tip of a punch 22 on a sheet metal W, a movable die 16 to a lowermost position with respect to a die body 12 against the pressing force of a spring 20 by lowering an upper table 42 and to maintain the butted state of the end surface of the sheet metal W and each butting member 72, and accordingly each butting member 72 is lowered in synchronization with the lowering of the upper table 42, in other words, the lowering of the movable die 16 with respect to the die body 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
