To provide a bending method or the like of a hollow extruded shape made of an aluminum alloy, in which the bending can be executed with the relatively small bending radius by the cold working, and the surface accuracy of a bent outer wall can be easily ensured; and to provide a hollow extruded shape or the like made of an aluminum alloy which is bent by the bending method.
The bending method includes: a first step of providing a predetermined recessed groove 3 which is recessed toward the inside of the cross section of a hollow extruded shape 1 and extends in the longitudinal direction of the hollow extruded shape 1, in areas at least subjected to the bending on side walls 1c 1d of the hollow extruded shape 1; and a second step of performing the bending of the hollow extruded shape 1 while rotating a movable die 6 provided closely to a bent outer wall 1a of the hollow extruded shape 1 with respect to the center P2 of rotation, by using, as the center P2 of rotation, the point set at the predetermined position away from the center P1 of the inner radius (r) of the hollow extruded shape 1 after the first step.
