Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the novel compound having platelet coagulation-inhibitory activity, also good in chemical stability.
CONSTITUTION: The compound of formula I (R is 4-7C saturated or unsaturated alkyl, or the above-mentioned alkyl having 1-3C alkyl as branched chain, cyclopentyl or cyclohexyl; X and Y are such that one of them is CH2, the other being O, or X-Y is CH=CH) or a medicinally usable salt thereof, e.g. 4{(2RS,3 RS,3aSR,8aS)-2-hydroxy-3-[(3SR and RS)-3-hydroxyoct-1-enyl]-1,2,3,3a,8,8d- hexahydrocyclopenta[a]-inden-7-yl}butyric acid. The compound of the formula I can be obtained by hydrolyzing a compound of formula II or III.
