Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a benzoyl peroxide composition which is unirritable, stable and has a satisfactory shelf life, thus is suitable for contact with skin.
SOLUTION: This composition contains benzoyl peroxide and an unirritable benzoic acid compound, for example, a 12-15C alkyl benzoate. The amount of the benzoyl peroxide to be mixed with the benzoic ester is 1-99wt.% in the mixture of the benzoyl peroxide and the benzoic ester, preferably 30-60wt.%. Benzoyl peroxide is admixed to the ester at a low temperature of 25-27°C to prepare the objective composition. In addition, other components are appropriately formulated to readily and economically prepare cosmetics such as emulsion, lotion, cream or gel, medicines and cleansing products.
