EXAMPLE: 6-Chloroacetamidopenicillanic acid p-nitrobenzyl ester.
USE: Antibacterial agent. It is useful for the prevention, remedy and treatment of infectious diseases caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
PROCESS: The compound of formulaI can be prepared, e.g. by reacting the compound of formula II or its salt with the compound of formula MSH (M is H or alkali metal), and then reacting the resultant compound of formula III or its salt with the compound of formula IV.
