PURPOSE: To put a betting ticket issuing machine in off-line mode on no-race days and in-line mode on race fixtures by comparing data outputted by a timer with fixtures in a setting storage part and deciding whether it is the race fixtures or not.
CONSTITUTION: The timer part 7 is driven by a battery 6 and the timer part 7 indicates the current year, month, day, and time and also has a perpetual calendar. Further, the dates of the fixtures are set in the setting storage part 8. Then a comparative decision part 9 compares the current data outputted by the timer part 7 with the dates of the fixtures stored in the setting storage part 8 and outputs a signal indicating a race day or no-race day. Further, a control part 10 consists of a microprocessor and controls the whole device. Namely, when the control part 10 receives information indicating that it is a no-race day from the comparative decision part 9 and prints a betting ticket by a ticket printing part 11, the betting ticket is printed in different form from a regular betting ticket. Consequently, man-hours for maintenance are reduced.
