PURPOSE: To produce products of high accuracy with high efficiency by a method in which a band metal is welded to the end of the inner surface of a column part, and the ends of the column part and the band metal are concurrently cut.

CONSTITUTION: A band metal B having an adequate thickness(t) and an adequate width(w) is welded to the end of the inner surface of a column part W by projecting its one end only by an adequate amount S from the end of the column W. The roller 60 of a cutter is contacted with the peripheral side of the column part W, and a cutter N for beveling formation is positioned on the ends of the column part W and the metal B. The whole body of the cutter pressingly turned toward the center of the part W to cut the ends of the part W and the metal B by the cutter N for both beveling and end processings concurrently. Beveling formation for the column parts can thus be attained with high productivity.
