A cup 12 is turned back and forth intermittently on a slide plate 11 by a Geneva mechanism and stops at a supply position A, a compression position B, an extracting position C and a discard position D. At the supply position A coffee powders are supplied in the cup 12 by a mill 50. At the compression position B the cup 12 is received by a movable plate 5 which is drawn out, while the coffee powders are compressed by a press-down body 54 of a cylinder 52. At the extracting position C the cup 12 is covered with a lid body 65, clipped by a clip body 70, the inside of the cup 12 being sealed and pressurized hot water is supplied from a hot water supply pipe 66 to extract coffee. After released from the clipping, the cup 12 is returned to the discard position D, where a cut-out position 55 of the slide plate 11 is opened and the cup 12 falls sideways folding a support rod 44 in the middle, thereby discarding the coffee grounds. Finally the cup 12 is transferred to the slide plate 11 while changing its posture upward along a guide plate 63 and returns to the supply position A.
