Abstract:
To provide a beverage which is easily palatable to many persons and whose water is easily absorbed into the human body.SOLUTION: A beverage of the present invention is based on a tea beverage with only monosaccharides being added thereto as saccharides. Osmotic pressure derived from the monosaccharides is preferably 20 to 110 mOsm. Preferably, the osmotic pressure derived from the monosaccharides is 20 to 100 mOsm when the tea beverage is, for example, a green tea beverage, toasted tea, jasmine tea, oolong tea, or barley tea; and the osmotic pressure derived from the monosaccharides is 20 to 110 mOsm when the tea beverage is rooibos tea or black tea.SELECTED DRAWING: None
