Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently produce a biaxially oriented polyester film for a mold release film, in which a used mold release film is reused.SOLUTION: There is provided the biaxially oriented polyester film for mold release comprising 3 layers which are a surface layer (A layer), an intermediate layer (B layer) and a surface layer (C layer), and having a total thickness of 20 μm to 40 μm. The A layer is a layer containing an inorganic particle and/or an organic particle having a volume average particle diameter (dA) of 0.1 μm to 1.0 μm and a Mohs hardness of 7 or less of 0.05 wt.% to 1.0 wt.% based on weight of the A layer and having a thickness of 3.0 μm to 8.0 μm, the B layer contains a silicon element, and the C layer is a layer containing the inorganic particle and/or the organic particle having the volume average particle diameter (dC) of 0.2 μm to 1.0 μm of 0.03 wt.% or more and less than 1.0 wt.% and having a thickness of 0.5 μm to 2.0 μm.
