PURPOSE: To provide a polyester film which is suitable for many usages such as packaging or decorative material, material for gold and silver thread, marking material, wiring substrate material, materials for magnetic recording, capacitors, window-sticking, etc., by having excellent adhesion to a metallized layer.

CONSTITUTION: A coated layer containing at least 50wt.% of water soluble and/or water dispersive urethane resin is provided on the surface of a layer A of a biaxially oriented laminated polyester film composed by laminating by co-extruding a layer (layer A) of at most 2μm thickness, composed of polyester wherein crystal melting peak does not exist at 230°C or higher by differential thermal analysis on at least one front surface.
