Abstract:

To provide a film which is excellent in friction resistance and pinhole resistance, has gas barrier properties, slip properties and a tensile modulus, and is extremely useful for a packaging material.

A biaxially oriented multilayer film includes: an intermediate layer made of polypropylene resin; a first layer comprising a propylene α-olefin random copolymer formed on one face of the intermediate layer; and a second layer formed on the other face of the intermediate layer. In the biaxially oriented multilayer film, the second layer includes 85-97 pts.wt. of (2a) a propylene ethylene random copolymer and 3-15 pts.wt. of (2b) an ethylene α-olefin copolymer. The (2a) propylene ethylene random copolymer is produced by a metallocene catalyst and has 1-20 g/10 min of MFR, 0.890-0.905 g/cm3 of density and 1.5-3.5 of Mw/Mn. The (2b) ethylene α-olefin copolymer has 1-10 g/10 min of MFR and 0.910-0.930 g/cm3 of density.
