Abstract:

To provide a polyester film for transparent vacuum evaporation and a transparent vacuum evaporated film excellent in barrier properties to oxygen and water vapor and adhesive force of the polyester film and an evaporated film, suitable for boil/retort treatment.

This biaxially oriented polyester film for transparent vacuum evaporation satisfies following relations. 1) 0.160≤fn≤0.180 (fn: coefficient of plane orientation) 2) 1.495≤nZD≤1.505 (nZD: refractive index in thickness direction) 3) Y150≥200 Mpa (Y150: Young's modulus in longitudinal direction at 150°C) 4) 215≤Tmeta≤240°C (Tmeta: sub peak of film melting) 5) 25 equivalent/ ton ≤COOH≤60 equivalent/ton (COOH: amount of carboxyl terminal groups) 6) Tmeta ≥245-0.5×COOH.
