The biaxially oriented polypropylene film for capacitors, having protrusions on both the sides of it, a thickness t1 (μm) of 4-20 μm, satisfies all of the formulas below, letting one surface be A and the other B. 800≤SRzB≤1,300 (nm). 0.1≤SRzA/SRzB≤0.7. PBmin≥100 (nm). PBmax≤1,500 (nm). 0.4≤PB400-700/PB≤0.7.
