Abstract:
To provide a bicomponent yarn and a fabric, which have improved combustion resistance and contain animal hair fibers, without impairing advantage obtained by using protein fibers.SOLUTION: A bicomponent yarn and a fabric contain artificial fibroin fibers and animal hair fibers, and the artificial fibroin fiber contains modified fibroin and has a history of contraction in which the fiber was irreversibly contracted by contacting water after spinning. A bicomponent yarn producing method has a step to mix the artificial fibroin fibers and the animal hair fibers, and the artificial fibroin fiber contains modified fibroin and has a history of contraction in which the fiber was irreversibly contracted by contacting water after spinning.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
