Abstract:

To maintain an interval between a rotary coil and a fixed coil constant and detect torque accurately by pressing the fixed coil against the rotary coil by an elastic mechanism for energization and eliminating a necessity of the adjustment of the interval between the coils.

A hanger ring 28 is arranged in an end part on a side where a frame 26 opposes to a rotary coil 76. The hanger ring 28 attaches a fixed coil 78 through an elastic mechanism 29 and presses the fixed coil 78 against the rotary coil 76 by the elastic mechanism 29 for energization. The fixed coil 78 is pressed by the elastic mechanism 29 at all times, and an interval between the rotary coil and the fixed coil is maintained constant at all times, even if a length of the frame 26 differs depending on type of bicycle and a length of a drive shaft 30 differs. Moreover, it is possible to save time and labor required for minute adjustment of the interval between the coils at the time of assembly. Furthermore, the reliability of a torque signal to be detected is improved by maintaining the interval between the coils constant.
