PURPOSE: To easily operate reservation at a remote control transmitter even without memorizing complicated input processes or plural functions allocated to kays.
CONSTITUTION: A timer reserving device 1 is composed of a remote control transmitter 2 and a main body 3 of a VTR, the remote control transmitter 2 transmits reserved contents inputted by a miocrophone 21 also used as a loudspeaker through a voice decode unit 22, central arithmetic circuit 23 and transmission circuit 24 to the main body 3 side of the VTR, and the main body 3 of the VTR decodes reservation data from the transmission circuit 24, detects inout miss and operation error data, decodes these input miss and operation error data, codes the data and transmits them to the remote control transmitter 2. The remote control transmitter 2 outputs the input miss and operation miss data transmitted from the main body 3 side of the VTR through a reception circuit 25, central arithmetic circuir 23 and datah voice synthesizing unit 26 as voices by the microphone 21 also used as the loudspeaker and therefore, the resvation can be easily operated at the remote control transmitter 2.
