Abstract:

To stabilize the behavior of a roller in low-speed rotation of a bidirectional roller clutch.

A cylindrical face 3 is formed on an inner periphery of an outer ring 2, a plurality of cam faces 5 are formed on an outer periphery of an inner ring 1, and rollers 6 incorporated between the cam faces 5 and the cylindrical face 3 are stored in a pocket 8 formed on a cage 7. An elastic body 11 is incorporated between the cage 7 and the inner ring 1 to elastically retain the cage 7 at a neutral position where the roller 6 is disengaged. Elastic pieces 9 are mounted on both side parts opposite to each other in the circumferential direction of the cage, of the pocket 8, and the roller 6 is energized toward the inner periphery of the outer ring 2 by the elastic pieces 9, thus the behavior of the roller 6 can be stabilized in low-speed rotation when the inner ring 1 is idled.
