Title:
BIDIRECTIONAL TORQUE LIMITER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002147499
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a bidirectional torque limiter having adjustable different torque values in normal rotation and reverse rotation.

In this bidirectional torque limiter 10, an outer ring 1, an inner ring 2 and a side ring 3 are respectively concentrically disposed such that the rings 1, 2, 3 can rotate relatively to each other, as shown in Figure. A shield 7 journals the side ring 3 and closes an end of the outer ring 1 to constitute the bidirectional torque limiter 10. A coil spring 4 wound around the periphery of the inner ring 2 in a close-fit state and a coil spring 5 wound in the opposite direction are disposed with a spacer 6 sandwiched between the springs 4, 5. An end part of the coil spring 4 is provided with a protrusion 44 locked to the outer ring 1 to decide the torque value in the normal direction. An end part of the coil spring 5 is provided with a protrusion 55 locked to the side ring 3 to decide in the reverse direction.
